The Kotahitanga Jersey is a celebration of the special place held by the Warriors in the hearts and minds of fans NZ wide. The design is an updated interpretation of the jersey first worn by the Warriors in 2001 upon changing their name from ‘Auckland’ to ‘New Zealand’ Warriors. It represents the welcoming nature of the Club, highlighting that the Warriors club is for all of New Zealand and not just Auckland. Colours for this interpretation have been updated to include more red and black, resulting in a pallet which not only honours the history of the Warriors, but kudos to the colours of Canterbury and Christchurch. Finished with flags at the upper back, to reflect the traditional colours of each New Zealand region to again portray the value which is Kotahitanga.
