Engravings, grinding grooves, and hand stencils reflect ancient traditions etched into sandstone, while meeting place symbols honour the passing of knowledge between generations. The design also recognises the Gayamaygal and Garigal clans, with dot patterns representing shell middens that hold the stories of Country. Nettleton’s artwork captures both the enduring presence of Aboriginal culture and the shared belonging of those who now call this land home.
